LYRIC RENAMED THE STATE. The alterations and decoration have been in the hands of Mr. H. J. Dreyfeldt, theatre decorator, of Wellington. Over 200 seats have been removed to permit of more leg room for the remaining seats. The latest concealed lighting grills surround the stage, the l'dof has been painted sky Mue, thick, rich, bfoWfltoned carpets line the aisles, and a new draught-proof entrance, which will be appreciated in the winter, has been installed.
