CHEESE EXPORTS.
GAIN FROM RESTRICTION. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, December 21. Messrs. K. L. Cohen and K. A. Murray have completed their Btudy of the effect of butter and cheese supplies on milk : prices, and the results have been published by the University of Oxford Agricultural Research Institute. | The authors contend that New Zealand ' will gain by restricting cheese exports. > It might pay her to turn somewhat from cheese-making to 'butter. A reduction | of 20 per. cent of New Zealand cheese < exports to Britain would restore the ! total cheese supplies to the 1920 level ( and might raise British milk prices to 7d a -gallon. J It is improbable, however, that the I Dominions would agree to more than a ! 10 per cent restriction on butter. i
