FARM LABOUR.
A good deal has appeared lately about the difficulties of farmers in obtaining labour. So long as milkers are_ treated as my son has been treated) and evidently as others have experienced, so long will farmers have a difficulty in obtaining satisfactory farm labour of 1 any enduring description. As a contrast, my eon, on leaving one place, was invited to remain with a family until he should be successful in obtaining employment, and so. well was he treated that he remained nearly two weeks, working without payment, but had eventually to leave with a promise that should the farmer require anyone he would give him first chance. 'His experience has been that he cannot get an hour in the middle of the day, hot to mention consideration on a Sunday, and he works from 3 a.m. to 7 p.m. during- the week. His age is 23 years of age, tall and strong, and can produce good testimonials, but th© treatment ho has received has made him determined to discard farming. He must fret . a living somehow, but not under such conditions as will eventually wear him out. FARM LABOUR-
