W. 1 iVilson, whoso term of office will end t his month. 1 For 55 years Mr. Wilson has been en- t raged in municipal work and he 56 ( >ossessed of a fund of accurate and valu- s .bl© knowledge of municipal affairs and a iroccdure. Ho has served the Northcoto t ouncil as town clerk, treasurer, return- c ng officer and in other capacities for the s ast 13 years. Before going to Northcote le was town clerk of Auckland for 20 a 'ears. t Mr. B. Martin, the Mayor, said that v ilr. Wilson's valuable experience had 1 >een of the greatest service to the a ouncil. Councillors referred to his un- i iring attention to borough business and I he ease with which one could get in- t ormation from him on difficult problems. Mr. J. E. M*ys, the borough overseer, peaking on behalf of the staff, said that he relations between Mr. Wilson and he staff had always been most cordial, nd lie joined the council in expressing hanks for the help and co-operation of Ir. Wilson.
