EVELYN FIRTH HOME.
A Yuletide entertainment was presented to the men of the Evelyn Firth Home this week. Mrs. F. H. Hobday was responsible for the delightful programme, which was thoroughly enjoyed, and appreciation was shown by the men calling for loud cheers and expressions of grateful thanks. A humorous competition was included in the programme of vocal, instrumental, and elocutionary numbers supplied by Mesdames F. H. Hobday, Preston Thomas, E. Verron, C. Prime, Misses Edna Craig, Daphne Higham, J. Gravatt, Messrs. Dan Flood, R. Rushen, H. Eady, Hall, and E. J. McLaren. The prizewinner was Mr. Linder. A delicious supper, with seasonable dainties, concluded with applause for the visitors.
