CHEESE DULL OF SALE.

Later calbles from London indicate continued quietness in the market for dairy produce, and prices are very dose to the low level reached last April, when quotations stood at 67/ . per cwt. The weekly cable received, toy the Press Association from-Londonfeade as follows:—

Butter.—Danish, firm, 116/ to 118/ per cwt; others quiet. Choicest salted, New Zealand and Australian both 69/ to 70/; unsalted New Zealand, 70/ to 78/; Australian, 74/ to 76/.

Cheese is dull. K"ew Zealand coloured 45/, white 48/ to 49/;- Australian coloured 44/.

Merchants' Cables. Cables received to-day by local produce dealers from their British principals read as follow:— A.S. Paterson and Co., Ltd. (principals, Messrs. J. and J. Lonsdale and. Co.). Butter: Market weaker. New Zealand, 68/ to 69/; Australian, 68/ to 69/. Danish, firm, 96/ f.o.b. (117/ landed). Cheese: Market quiet, buyers inactive. White 48/, coloured 44/6 to 45/.

Mr. M. O. Stewart (R. and W. Davidson, Ltd., Glasgow). —Butter: New Zealand salted, 69/ to 70/, equiv. 7.79 d f.0.b.; unsalted, 74/ to 78/, equiv. 8.61 d f.o.b. Demand quieter with • prices easier. Cheese: White, 48/, equiv. 5.11 d f.0.b.; coloured, 45/, equiv. 4.72 d f.o.b. Market slow.

Mr. L. McCartney (Messrs. Henry A. Lane and Co., Ltd.). —New Zealand butter: 70/. Market very quiet. NewZealand Cheese: White, 48/ to 49/; coloured, 45/. Market quieter.
