AN APPEAL FOR EX-SERVICE MEN.
Mr. A. W. M. Ohlson, secretary of the ■Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association, has made an appeal to the pu'blic on behalf of the unemployed "Diggers. , " His appeal is most •worthy, in every sense of the word, so would you kindly' allow me to-make a-n appeal 011 behalf of the BAA. of Auckland? I am an old soldier'myself of over twelve years' standing, and have'been through the "rough" myself ami know all about it. So kindly allow me to plead with the public of Auckland on behalf of those "Diggers" who are badly up against jit, for they are badly in need of our help 1 and cheer this Christmas season, when there - is so much joy and happiness- about. Just think of them left in want, on the young side of middle age, broken in health, wealth and in spirits. They freely gave for one and all that they might liv fi in peace and comfort, so please think of thc-m in their plight now, and . harken to their cry for hejp this Christmas. The returned soldier's case should receive the kindest consideration of all. and I feel q"i<- e confident that, all classes of the community will rally to the assistance of Mr. A. W. M. Ohlson and His committee, who investigate all cases on merit. Mav my appeal bear pood fruits. * . F-T/B.
