"FRIENDLY ROAD."
MEETING IN NEW PLYMOUTH.
A large meeting was held in New Plymouth last evening in connection with the "Friendly Road" movement. It was addressed by the Rev. C. G. Scrimgeour and Mr. Harry Welsh. The latter, before putting a similar resolution to that wKich was carried in the Auckland Town Hall last Sunday, appealed to his listeners not to send letters to the Prime Minister, as the "Friendly Road" executive had no wish to annoy Mr. Forbes, especially as the matter had now been impressed upon his notice, and he now knew that the "Friendly Road" had a large number of supporters.' The resolution was then carried unanimously.
