WORK FOR MINERS.
THIRTY MEN AT THE RENOWN. IMPROVED POSITION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HUNTLY, this day. Thirty" extra miners and' truckers were engaged at the Renown mine to cope with the rush of coal orders, and the notices of dismissal which were recently issued, totalling 65, have been deferred. It is expected that all the men will be kept on until Christmas. At the Glen Afton mine about 30 men, including miners, cutters and others, were engaged yesterday to cope •with extra orders.
