EXECUTIVE MEETING,

AUSTRALIAN VISIT NOT

SUPPORTED.

The usual meeting of the Auckland Rowing , Association's executive was held last night, Mr. A. C. Norden in the chair. Correspondence was received from the Minister of Internal Affairs, Rotorua Borough Council, Tauranga, Wanganui, Ngaruawaliia, Hamilton regatta committees, and the West End, Hamilton Clube and the N.Z.A.R.A.

The programme of the Wanganui regatta, to be held on January 20, was received, and provides for the usual class programme, with donations totalling £96. Mr. H. W. Hudson, president of the A.R.A., was appointed judge, and Mr. P. Grahame, the association's representative at the West End Club regatta on January

The Hamilton .regatta committee's application for a permit to hold the annual regatta on January 29 was granted. The following officials were approved for the West End Club's regatta:—Mr. S. H. Buchanan, starter; Messrs. A. C. Norden, J. 11. Bigelow, umpires; Messrs. A. M. Paterson. A. M. Wilson, J. A. McKenzie, W. H. Hudson. A. M. Spencer, clerk of scales; Mr. C. Aitken, chief marshal. A list of the proposed donations of the Ngaruawahia regatta committee was received, and it was resolved that the committee be written to suggesting an interview with the Auckland executive.

The Hamilton Canoe Club was advised to communicate with the Rotorua regatta committee. . The secretary was instructed to advise all clubs .that entries for Tauranga regatta close on Friday, December 15; also the Hamilton Club, that the Tauranga regatta committee be written suggesting a minimum of three crews for the sneior fours.

Regarding the visit of the Australian crew, the committee considered the time was inonportune, and would advise the JT.Z.A.R.A. that it could not support the trip.
