LAMBS ARE STEADIER. LATEST FROM SMITHFIELD. The following report has been compiled from cabled advice received from Henry S. Fitter and Sons, Smithfield, London:— Wethers.—Small supplies have caused prices to harden. Ewes. —The market is firmer for light weights. Lambs. — There is a little better demand; the market is steadier. Trade generally is brighter with better demand. , Wethers, light. 4d to 5 J ,4d per lb; heavy, 3%d to 3%d; ewes, 2%d to 3%d; lambs, twos, 6%d to 7d; eights, 6%d to o%d; fours, 6Vid to 6%d; seconds, 6%d to 6%d.
