Dr. I. E. Newsome, veterinary pathologist of the Colorado Agricultural College, reports that, a disease similar to encephalitis among human beings has broken out among horses. He estimates that since mid-September 300 horses have contracted the disease and that the mortality has been about 50 per cent.
