JEWS IN GERMANY.
I deplore greatly that il am the cause cf the controversy in your columns on the Jew» in Germany. I wrote, to you some time ago a badly-written letter which, had to be edited. So your correspondents "Truth" and "R.L.L.," not' because o£ new evidence they bring forward, but because of th© weakness of my letter, rust into print ifo annihilate me. .What is the object of their letters? Do they wish to prove that no Jews were killed 'in that unhappy country and that none were practically forced into suicide? Or perhaps they would like us to believe that Jews 'have all the political and economic rights under Hitler they enjoyed hitherto. Much as all Jewry would like to bel-ieve this, it is an unfortunate fact, which the whole world knows and which, is not Jewish propaganda, that Jews have been deprived of everything that makes life worth living and, in many instances, of life itself. I have a letter, through a nonJewish source, proving that an honourable Jewish manufacturer was so badly treated by the Nazis that, unable to stand it further, he killed himself. Your leading article on this subject on November 21 was probably a better reply than this letter, but in self-defence I reply. "Truth" relies on the "Daily Mail" and on Dr. Naumann as his authorities. I am sure no one would treat the evidence of the "Daily Mail" seriously on any subject, and as for 'Dr. Naumann, if your correspondents "Truth" and "RJj.'L." were Jews and lived in Germany, and ifl they suddenly found themselves in a "brown house" with the usual paraphernalia of these places, they also would probably sign any report put before them. • JUiST SIMPLE.
