Austrian Soccer Team Ties With Scotland. KANGAROOS' TWENTIETH WIN. (Received 11 a.m.) . LONDON, November 29. Six thousand spectators saw the Australian team beat Leeds by 15 points to 7, after leading s—o5 —0 at half-time. This was the Kangaroos twentieth victory in 27 matches. At Glasgow, the Austrian Soccer eleven drew with Scotland, 2 —2. Other /football games in the United Kingdom resulted:— Kugby.—Middlesex drew with Kent, 3 —3; Eastern Counties beat Surrey, 10—3; Cambridge 'Varsity beat Watsonians, 25 —5. Soccer Cup.—First round replays: Charlton beat Bath, 3—l; Bristol Kovers beat Folkestone, 3—l; Aldersliot beat Cardiff, 3 —l; Accringtori beat Scunthorpe, 3—o; Xew Brighton beat Mansfield, 4—3. UNRULY WRESTLERS. WILD SCENE IN BRISBANE. (Received 10.30 a.m.) BRISBANE, this day. The wildest spectacle ever associated with -wrestling in Brisbane marked a contest between Lurich and Pencheff. Both were disqualified in the third round, after which they flew at each other, and a fierce encounter took place outside the ropes, the blood-bespattered wrestlers being completely out of control. After police had stopped the bout among the spectators, Lurich returned to the ring and floored the referee. The latter was rising when he was struck on the head by a chair thrown by a spectator, and dropped again to the floor with blood gushing from a bad scalp -wound. Police then escorted the wrestlers from the stadium.
"BODYLINE" BOWLING. SUSSEX IS PREPARED. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, November 29. Sir William Campion, speaking at the Sussex County Club dinner, said the county had a very fine fast bowler in training but would not bowl "bodyline" stuff, but "if it is bowled against us, we have somebody to retaliate." BOXING IN ENGLAND. WATSON DISQUALIFIED. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, November 2'■). At Newcastle, "Seaman" Watson was disqualified in the second round for a low blow against Sonny Lee, of Leeds, in a light-weight boxing bout. The title was not involved. DEATH AT CRICKET. EXTRAORDINARY MISHAP. LONDON, November 29. A message from Mysore, Southern India, states that a student named Nurayana, aged 17, was killed instantlv whilo keeping wicket in a cricket match. A fast ball shattered a stump, the metal shoe of which pierccd the youth's heart as a bail penetrated one , of his eyes.
