Extra choice ox sold to 19/ per 1001b; choice ajid prime, 16/ to 18/; secondary and, plain, 12/ to 15/; prime young cow and heifer beef, 16/ to 18/; secondary, 11/ to 15/; extra heavy prime steers' ranged in price from £7 10/ to £8 12/6" heavy, £6 15/ to £7 7/6; lighter, £5 17/6 to £0 12/6; light, £5 to £5 15/; unfinished and small, £3 15/ to £4 15/; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers, £5 to £5 10/; heavy, £4 to £4 15/; lighter. £3 to £3 17/6; light, £2 7/6 to £2 15/-other-cows, £1 5/ to £2 5/. ' Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report; At our weekly Westfield fat stock market to-day we yarded 190 head of cattle, comprising 25 steers and 165 cows and heifers, against 199 last week. Quality was again firstclass, with demand not so keen, and values eased fully 1/ per 1001b. Alfred Buckland and Sons, Ltd., report:—At our weekly Westfield fat stock market to-day' ws.. penned cattle to the number of' 283, .as against 239 head last week, comprising' 125 steers and 158 jcows and-heifers.' The yarding of ox beef was of good quality, :but showed a decided decline in values, ..light cattle being less affected, while, heavy, cattle showed a decline of from \lsf to 20/ per head. The cow and heifer pens' were. well filled, and sold freely with •values showing a slight decline. . Extra choice ox sold to 19/ per 1001b; choice, and prime : ox, 15/ to 17/; ordinary, 13/ to 14/; , prime voung cow and heifer beef,'l7/ to 19/; ordinary, 12/ to 15/.
