TWO ACCIDENTS.
RUNAWAY HORSE MISHAP. As the result of trying to stop a runaway horse on the farm of Mr. A. E. Watkin at Manurewa yesterday, a farm hand, Mr. A. James, was run over by the cart which the horse was drawing, and received injuries to the chest. He was taken to hospital by the St. John Ambulance, and his condition to-day was reported to be satisfactory. Injuries to the foot were received by a relief worker, Mr. C. Neilson, of 4, Churton Street, Parnell, as the result of being struck on the foot by a sledge hammer yesterday. Mr. Neilson was working in the vicinity of the Stone Jug. Several small bones were broken. The injured man was taken to the hospital by the St. John Ambulance, where hie condition to-day is reported as satisfactory.
