STAFF DANCE.
The staff recreation club of Thompson and Hills gave a successful concert, followed by a dance, at the Manchester Unity Hall last evening, a large number of members and their iriends attending. A programme of merit was rendered by the following chorus by company; solo, Mr. Cartwright; impersonations, Mr. L. Camplin; songs and ballet by Peggy and company, "I'd Love to Live, in Loveland" and "I'll Be Your Sweetheart";' dramatic recitation, Mr. W. Corney; the Two Tramps, Basil and Bert; Miss H. Young, "God Send You Back To Me"; comedian, Air. P. Petty, "The Little Shirt My Mother Made For Me"; the Three Niggers, Stan, Allan and Doug., and. a final song,. "Keep on Hoping." The concert was arranged by Mr. W. Corney, who received well merited applause. The ladies' committee responsible for the enjoyable dance were: Misses P. Cunningham, M. Beadmore, F. Edge, and Lucy Cornell. A delectable supper concluded a bright and happy evening. - . .
