Vegetables Plentiful. Very heavy supplies of locally-grown new potatoes are now reaching tile marts, and the price has eased in consequence. Canadian onions are keeping the market going, selling at 13/ to 14/ per cental. very few kumaras are being received from Tauranga, as the season is drawing to a close. Green peas are in good supply. Pumpkins are realising good prices. Cabbage has been a glut on the market this week, being almost unsaleable. Lettuce is also in heavy supply, but cauliflower meets with fair demand. A fair inquiry exists for all root vegetables. Quotations are:— Potatoes, new, 3/ to 4/6 per bag; swedes, 1/ to 2/; onions, Canadian, 13/ to 14/ per cental; kumaras, 2Vfcd to 3d per lb; Tauranga, 5/ to 7/6 a bag; cabbages, 1/ to 4/0 per sack; on benches, 1/ to 2/ per dozen; cauliflowers, 2/ to 6/ per sack; on benches, 1/ to 4/6 per dozen; pumpkins, Triumble, 14/ to 20/ per cwt; cucumbers, 3/ to 6,6 per dozen; carrote, 9d to 1/0; parsnips, 1/ to 1/6; beet, Cd to 9d; turnips, 6d; radish, 0d to 1/; spring onions, Id to 3d per bundle; spinach, 6d to 9d per dozen; leeks, 1/ to 3/ per bundle; green peas, 1/6 to 7/ per bag; French beaus, 9d to 1/1 per lb; broad beans, 2/6 to 4/6 per bag; marrows, 3/ to 5/ per dozen; lettuce, 1/ to 4/6 per case; rhubarb, 1/ to 2/6 per dozen; asparagus, 6d to 1/2 per bundlef.

Eggs Very Cheap. The quantity of eggs coming to hand is sufficient to keep prices at a low level. Quotations are:—First grade heu eggs, 9%d per dozen; B grade, BMid; C grade, Ited. First grade duck eggs, per dozen; B grade, 7%d; (J grade, Poultry. At to-day's auctions the supply of poultry was medium and the demand was fair. The prices paid remain about level. Selling rates were as follow:— Cockerels: Heavy breeds, prime, 4/6 to 6/6 each; not prime, 2/6 up; light breeds, prime, 2/ to 4/6; not prime, 1/6 up. Fat roosters: Heavy breeds, prime, 1/6 to 2/; light breeds, 1/3 to 1/6- Fat Hens: Heavy breeds, 2/6 to 3/; light breeds, 1/6 to 2/. Pullets: Heavy breeds, best, 2/ to 4/6; smaller, 2/ up; light breeds, best, 2/ to 4/6; smaller, 2/ up. Drakes: Young, prime, 2/6 to 3/6; smaller, 1/6 up; old, 1/3 to 1/6. Ducks: Young, 1/6 to 2/; old, 1/3 to 1/6. Coykerel chicks: Heavy breeds, 9d to 2/6; light breeds, 1/2 to 1/6. Dayold chicks: 8.0., 4d to 6d; L%, 2Msd to 3d.
