TE AWAMUTU TRACKS.

liUCIDUS BMSASES. The course proper, which, was in excellent order, was available next to the rails for the two-year-olds, and about 27ft out for the other fast work at Te Awamutu yesterday. Other tracks in use were the hurdle grass (the reverse way round), and the inner grass and plough. Outside of Course Proper. Marechal was first out, and was moving nicely to take 1.7 1-5 for live furlongs, the first half-mile in 53 l-ss. Bainbury was stopping at the conclusion of four furlongs which took 50s. Ruri was moving with ease to complete live furlongs in 1.5 2-5, the first half-mile occupying 525. Jonathan was ahead of Kanapa at the conclusion of four furlongs in 50s. He worked excellently. Chief Lap completed five furlongs alone in 1.5 3-5. Kopurere had a slight advantage over Spearwin after placing five furlongs behind in 1.7. The most pleasing task of the morning was that done by Lucidus, who strode boldly over four furlongs in 49 4-ss. This follow is pleasing in his work, and a stake should go his way shortly. Musquil was worked a round at a strong pace, but was not after time. Wait and See, who is showing much improvement, ran half a mile in 535. She could possibly -have done better. Arawa Rose was too good for Loombination at the end of half a mile in 51 4-ss. Eager Rose was sent'away from a standing start at the seven-furlong barrier, and completed her task in 1.32 2-5. She could have done much better. She was assisted over the final half-mile by Trishna, who put up a good display to take 51 3-ss. Dust tip, who is not a regular attendant at the tracks (being trained on his owner's, farmi, was much too good for Campanero over half a mile, which was covered comfortably in 51s. The prospects of Dust Up at Te Kapa look very, bright.
