FARM PRODUCTS.
New Price-Raising. Scheme in U.S.A. REACTION UNCERTAIN. (Received 1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, November 3. A gigantic marketing agreement under the Farm Act, covering the major farm commodities in the Middle-West was proposed to-day at a conference of the Administration and State Governors. This new price-lifting scheme would be an agreement under which the farmers would be guaranteed a fixed price for their products based on "parity" levels. It is designed to give products the equivalent of the pre-war purchasing power. The farmer would agree to curtail production in future years, according as the Department of Agriculture found it necessary to fit the supply and demand situation for each commodity. The Roosevelt Administration's reaction to this proposal is uncertain.
