SCOW SUNK.

CARGO OF BOULDERS. MISHAP NEAR BAYSWATER. CREW WOT ABOARD. The scow Maggie, owned' by J. J. Craig, Ltd., sank in Shoal Bay, near Bayswater, during the night. None of the crew was on board at the time. The scow, carrying a deck load of boulders, put into the bay yesterday morning for shelter. When her crew left in the afternoon the vessel -showed no signs of leaking, but this morning it was found that she had sunk. At high tide her deck was several feet under water. It is not anticipated that any difficulty will be experienced in raising the scow at low tide, once her deck cirgo has been lifted on to another vessel. Until the scow has been refloated the cause of her mishap cannot be ascertained. A wooden vessel of 20 tons, the Maggie is C3ft long with a beam of 17Jft. She was built at Auckland in 1902.
