■ — There will be a new woman champion at Wimbledon next year, for according to her father, Dr. C. Wills, Mrs. Helen Moody will not defend her title. She may wait until 1935 before ehe attempts to regain the American championship. Mrs. Moody, whose injured back kept her out of the Wightman Cup contest, and caused her to default to Miss Jacobs in the final of the American championship, was in hospital at San Francisco early in September. Since then cables have stated thafc Helen expects to attempt to regain her U.S.A. national title in 1934.'
