VETERAN AMERICAN BOXER.—Dave Shade, the well-known middle-weight fighter, who passed through Auckland by the Monterey yesterday on his way to Australia, under contract for three matches. Shade, who, despite his 31 years, says that he will keep going until he has won the middle-weight title, which several times has been almost his, would like to fight in New Zealand on his way back to the States.
