SHORTS AT "JUNIOR WIMBLEDON."
Miss L. M. Thorn, girl champion of Essex, became tlie pioneer of shorts for girls at the All-England Club, when the "Junior Wimbledon" lawn tennis meeting was begun. "Cooler and better for the game," was the reason she gave as she went on to the court.
