NEW AMBULANCE.
Dedication Ceremony Parade at Drill Hall. The new ambulance presented to the Auckland Centre of St. John Ambulance Association by Mr. F. C. Mappin, of Mountain Road, Epsom, was dedicated this afternoon by Archbishop Averill. sub prelate of the order, in the Auckland Drill Hall. The St. John Ambulance division, nursing division and cadets of the nursing and ambulance divisions paraded with the Mount Eden Boys' Band, under Mr. George Marsh. In dedicating the ambulance, Archbishop Averill said that St. John's was the greatest order of chivalry in the world; It arose out of the religious instinct that made men assist others.
The parade was inspected by Lieu-tenant-Colonel G. Barclay, who said that he appreciated the line muster of members, and he was pleased to see representatives present from Tauranga and Waihi. He congratulated the Auckland division on the progress made durirg the pas*;. 12 zuonths.
