PROPOSED CONTRACT FOR WATER SUPPLY, TO ELECTORS AND RESIDENTS OF BIRKENHEAD: Notice is given that it is proposed to insert a clause in the Local Legislation Bill, 1933, authorising the Birkenhead Borough Council to enter into a contract for the supply of water from the Auckland City Council for a period of 21 years, without the sanction of the poll of electors required by Section 2-19 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920. Any elector or resident of the Borough of Birkenhead, or any other person directly affected, having an objection to the proposed legislation, is required to lodge his objection with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington, on or before the 11th day of November, 1933.
