Border Agitator Handed Over To Afghans. INSTIGATOR OF RISING. (Received 12.30 p.m.) CALCUTTA, November 2. Lewanai, the fakir, known as the "Mad Fakir," who was responsible for the recent grave disturbances on the Indo-Afghan border, has been handed over to the Afghan authorities together \?ith three companions.

The fakir was arrested at a British border post after having eluded the British and Afghan authorities for two years, in which period he first endeavoured to raise a revolt against King Nadir Shah in favour of ex-King Amanullah, and later instigated a rising of turbulent border tribesmen against the British Government.
