A HIGH WIND AND A RISING TIDE made berthing operations difficult for the Matson liner Monterey when she arrived In Auckland this morning. The tugs had a difficult task and it took them well over half an hour to entice their big sister to her berth at Prince's wharf. The top picture shows the tugs at work, and below, the liner's white paint is shown marred by the struggle.
