LATEST LONDON CABLES. GERMANY BUYING AGAIN. Cables received from London to-day indicate a better tone in the butter market due to Germany again entering the market. Prices of New Zealand have not advanced, but the demand is steadier. Cheese is firm. The weekly cable received by the Press Association from London is as follows: — Butter. —Danish, firm, 118/ to 120/; others steadier at lower level. Choicest salted New Zealand, 88/ to 00/; Australian, 86/ to 87/; unsalted, not quoted. Cheese is steady. New Zealand, coloured, 48/ per cwt; white, 49/; Australian, both 46/. Merchants' Cables. The following cables have been received by local merchants from their British principals:— -a. Messrs. A. S. Paterson (principals, Messrs. J. and J. Lonsdale and Co., London):—Butter: Market steadier, in sympathv with higher prices of Danish, owing to Germany buying. Danish, 98/, f.o.b. (119/ landed); New Zealand, finest salted, 89/; first grade, 82/; Australian, 85/ to 82/. Tendency of colonial easier. Cheese: Market firm on short stock. Nominal. White, 48/; coloured, 48/; Canada, 48/6, c.i.f.
