OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.

SETTLERS ASKED TO HELP.

A reward of £100 is to he offered by the Commissioner of Police to the person finding the body of Mr. Samuel Pender Lakey which is being searched for at Euawaro. This announcement was made this afternoon by the Commissioner of Police, 3>lr. W. G. Wolilmann, when interviewed by a "Star" representative. "Tho Department hopes that the residents of the district will be interested and think it worth while to look for Mr. liakey's body," said Mr. Wolilmann. "Any action that the settlers take will be in co-operation with the local police, who will give them every assistance."
