ARTILLERY CAMP.
13TH BATTERY TO TRAIN.
COMPETITION FOR CUP.
The annual training camp of the. 13th Coast Battery, New Zealand Artillery, starts at Fort Cautley on Saturday. A detachment from the 15th Wellington Coast Battery will arrive on Saturday morning to join the Auckland territorials in camp, until November 13. Captain J. C. Loekhart will be the 0.C., and Lieutenants J. C. Holland and Tansley will also attend. During the camp the territorials will visit the Air Force base at Hobsonville. Heavy gun firing will be carried out, and the trainees will have recreation with shooting, basketball and other sports. Competition for the Hudson Cup for the most efficient coast battery will take place between the batteries from the two cities. The men of the 13th Battery are those who man Fort Cautley, and there are several vacancies for recruits. Young men interested in the training arc invited to visit the camp, where they may enrol if they so desire.
