YOUNG SALESMAN'S THEFT.
CAOL FOR SIX MONTHS,
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A young salesman, Neville Erie Watkins, aged 21, stated by tlie probation officcr not to bo worth another chance, was to-day sentenced by Mr. E. Page, S.M., to six months' imprisonment for the theft of a motor tyre. Another charge related to the conversion of a motor cycle, and, in regard to this, the police said Watkins had approached one, Lucchesi, representing himself as a prospective buyer, and was given permission to ride a machine round a block. However, he rode it to Levin and returned it only after police inquiries were started. On this and another charge he will not l>c sentenced unless called within two years.
