THE AUCKLAND CENTRE.

A NEW UNIFORM A DOITED,

The fortnightly meeting of the executive committee of the Auckland Centre of the X.Z.A.A.A. was held last evening. Mr. V. Hugo presiding. It was decided that a new uniform for the centre he adopted—all white, with a royal blue "A" on singlet, and royal blue facings. The report of the centre handicapper, >Ir. A. Moon, on the proposed local standards was adopted after a few alterations. It was resolved that the scratch racing system be inaugurated on December 0, tiie question of ground to be decided later. All regular evening sports meetings in future are to be . conducted by the centre at fortnightly intervals, and programmes were arranged for November 15, November 20. and December 13. The schedule of dates for the season was drawn up and adopted as far as February IT. The application of P. H. Smediey, of Hamilton, was recommended to the N.Z. Council for favourable consideration, whilst that of R. MacdonaUl was returned for further particulars. A letter was received from the Wellington Centre regarding the possibility of inter-provincial contests, action being deferred. Mr. I>. C. Williams was appointed official starter.

GIRLS' SPORTS CARNIVAL.

The eighth annual snorts carnival of the Auckland G>ls* Athletic Association will he held nf Blandfoid Park on Snturdav.
