SUICIDE ATTEMPT.
CRIPPLED MAN'S OFFENCE.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Wednesday. A plea of guilty to a charge of attempted suicide was made by a middleaged farmer from a district near Huntly in the Magistrate's Court to-day. Senior Sergeant J. J. Power said the accused was a married man with eix children, who met with an accident some years ago which left him a cripple. Lately he had been in bad health. On October 24 he attempted to take his life by cutting his wrist with a razor. He was discharged from the Waikato Hospital to-day. On accused giving Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., an undertaking that he would not attempt to take his life again he was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called on. His name was suppressed.
