MANAWATU SHOW.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Wednesday. The 48th spring show of the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association was opened in showery weather, and will extend over three days. There are splendid entries totalling 4823, particularly in live stock and schools classes. The Manawatu Kennel Club's show is also being held. Most of the stock awards will be made to-morrow. Championship awards in the pig classes were made as follow: — Berkshires.—Boar and reserve: Cheltenham Co-operative Dairy Company v Sow: Feilding Agricultural High School; reserve, H. E. Fieldhouse (Rongotea). Tamworths.—Boar: A. T. Rogers (Ngaruawahia); reserve, H. E. Fieldhouse. Sow and reserve: A. T. Rogers. Large Whites. —Boar and reserve: Feilding Agricultural High School. Sow and reserve: R. Webb (Newbury). Large Blacks—Boar and reserve and sow and reserve: G. M. Whitelock (Newbury).
