Medical Supplies Being Made In Britain. EXILES GIVE AWAY SECRETS. (Received 1 p.m.) LOXDOT, October 30. The "Daily Herald" states that British chemical manufacturers are taking full advantage of the expert knowledge offered by German chemists exiled by the Nazis. The ingredients of a large number of medicines hitherto obtainable only from Germany have been revealed. As a result, doctors and chemists have received a list of 161 such preparations, which are' now being manufactured in Britain. It has been found possible to produce many of these preparations much cheaper than was previously possible when they had to be obtained from Germany. The result is that they are now available to the poorest patients.

WITNESS ARRESTED.

REICHSTAG FIRE PERJURY. (Received 2 p.m.) BERLIN, October 30. A witness at the Reichstag fire trial, named Soenker, a Russo-German, was arrested after making a confession that his evidence against Taneff, one of the Bulgarian accused, was false. The president declared that Soenker had committed deliberate , perjury.
