"HARD-BOILED" SLAYER'S ORGY CHICAGO, October 26. Dalla Eagan,.-who called himself the hardest boiled slayer who ever committed murder in California, was hanged after achieving national notoriety by having a glorious drunk on the day before his forced demise. •Several days ago Governor "Sunny Jim" Kolph asked the warden at San Quentin prison to report the mental condition of the prisoner who had scorned possible executive clemency. The warden reported that Eagan's only interest in life was a final liquor splurge, so Governor Rolph gave dispensation for two bottles of the finest Bourbon. The prisoner drained them to the last drop, but recovered completely, and walked with a firm step to the gallows.
