POINTS FROM LETTERS.

THE SYNOD REPORT.. The report issued by the Anglican sfnotl is the most terrible indictment of clerical incompetence that has ever been issued by a committee of clergymen whose job it' is to expound the Scriptures to those seeking spiritual assisance. Can you imagine anything more likely , -to make agnostics .and atheists than the following quotation from tho Synod's report: "In view of what we know to be scientific facts, we must surely give up teaching folk lore and legends of Israel as historically and scientifically true." What are those scientific facts which the modernist so glibly rolls off his tongue to belittle the Old * Testament writings ? There are hundreds of scientists to-day who consistently say that their investigations hare carried them to that point where they could not help but admit that the writings in the Old Testament were in accordance with scientific data. Archaeology is ever confirming the truth of Bible narrative. Archaeological expeditions, Avhich are ever at work in Bible lands, have during , the laiit decade brought to light an immense amount of evidence which is definite and tangible, and therefore undeniable. The scientific evidence necessary for the theory of evolution is not to be found; such evidence as has been used in the conception of this idea is not now accepted, but is considered, in scientific circles, to be bad science. In conclusion, I would advise Bible students to read 1 Tim. vi. 20; 2 Tim. iii. 1-7, iv. 3-4. A BIBLE BELIEVER,
