MAN BADLY STUNG. JUMPED INTO WATER RACE. TAKEN HOME EXHAUSTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Whilst attending to/work as caretaker of a water-race at Springfield, Mr. A. Jones -was savagely attacked by bees. Mr. Jones was badly stung about the head, .and finding no -way' of escape jumped into the water-race. Here the unfortunate man was swept off his feet and with difficulty reached the bank. He was taken home in an exhausted condition.
