CONCILIATION COUNCIL.
PLUMBERS AND GAS FITTERS. A conference of parties concerned in. thp plumbers and gasfitters' industrial dispute was held this, morning before the conciliation commissioner, Mr. P. Hally. The applicant employers' representatives were Messrs. C. E. Clarkson, A. P. Hartnoll, A. H. Battersby, A.. E. Harpham. The respondent employers' representatives were Messrs. C. A. Peace, W. J. Cross, IST. A. Kyle, W. E. Anderson.' The representatives of the respondent union were Messrs. J. E. Slattery, H. T. Dickenson, 'W. J: Ormsby arid J. Clark.- ■ . ■ v The commissioner referred to attehjpfs to get a settlement,'and as three parties were concerned, he suggested that the two sections of employers should meet in an endeavour, to approach the business as one "organisation.
