LATE SIR A. BANKART. PROVISION FOR CHARITY. SUM OF £5000 NAMED. The will of the late Sir Alfred Bankart was granted probate at the Supreme Court this afternoon. The estate is sworn at under £75,000. Provision is made for the setting aside of the sum of £5000 for charities on the death of Lady Bankart. The New Zealand Insurance Company and Lady Bankart are the trustees. A resolution of sympathy for Lady Bankart was passed at the'meeting of the Auckland Electric Tower Board yesterday afternoon. The chairman, Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, referred to the prominent part the late Sir Alfred Bankart had played in the business life of the citv.
