TWO BRUTAL ATTACKS. Blue Shirt Members Shot at And Battered. MASKED ASSAILANTS. (United I*.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, October 29. Armed men, who arrived by motor ear, entered the home of Denis O'Leary, a Blue Shirt, at Bandon, before dawn after battering down the door and shot him in the leg. Mr. O'Leary's father, who is chairman of the local creamery, was knocked unconscious with a stick. The intruders, brandishing revolvers, dragged the son out of doors, assaulted and shot him and then decamped. He later crawled inside. When he recovered consciousness the father struggled to the Civic Guard station, bleeding from the head. Armed and masked men an hour later raided the bungalow of a Blue Shirt, Mr. Hugh O'Reilly, of Innishannon. They dragged him out and beat him severely on the body and head, necessitating his being taken to hospital.
