'Varsity Student Becomes Insane. BIG COMPENSATION GRANTED. '(Received 9.30 a.m.) VANCOUVER, October 29. A message from Edmonton, Alberta, states that 56,000 dollars' damages have been awarded to Mr. Edward Howlett, father of Armand Howlett, a student, against the University of Alberta in the Supreme Court.. The hoy became permanently insane as the result of by other students, in the course of which he was divested of his clothing and dragged through the corridors of the college.
