HEAVY LOADS.
| FULL EXCURSION TRAINS. ! DEPARTURE'S THIS AFTERNOON. Two heavily-loaded trains left Auckland with week-end excursionists early this afternoon. Bookings for Rotonia special were still being made this morning, and 13 carriages and a van were required to accommodate the passengers. It was found necessary to attach the Te Aroha section of the train to the Nati'onal Park special, and in order to save confusion, the Te Aroha passengers left at 1.20 p.m. instead of 1.15, and the Rotorua train was dispatched at 1.25 p.m., ten minutes later than was intended. The National Park train therefore left with 12 carriages, three of which were dropped at Frankton with a van. The Whangarei one-day excursion arrived with over 100 passengers. The return journey will start at 6.8 p.m. The usual 5.5 p.m. train will be delayed again on Monday, and is now due to leave at 5.45 p.m. Both of these trahvs will travel to Hikurangi.
