TOM CARLTON STILL GOING.

Returning to Melbourne from Adelaide last season Tom Carlton marked his reappearance in the North Melbourne team by taking nine wickets for 58 runs, and he finished the season with Tt wickets at an average of 14. Carlton has made another fine start this season with seven wickets for 59 against Prahran. He had to keep an end going almost throughout the innings, and was a tired man at the end of the day. As a lefthander he found the wicket more to his liking than did the right-handers, and, in addition to his normal turn from leg, he troubled the batsmen with the left-hander's googly. Although a veteran now, Carlton looks like being again North Melbourne's bowling mainstay;.
