GOING NORTH.
Eden Will Miss G. L. Weir. Auckland and New Zealand representative, G. L. Weir, was at Eden Park for the opening of the cricket season this afternoon, but only as a spectator. The reason that lie was not in his flannels to take the tield with Eden was that next week lie will leave the city for Manga pa i, near Wliangaret, to accept a teaching appointment. Although he will probably turn out for his old club during the summer holidays, it is likely that Eden will miss their former skipper.
