TITIRANGI TOURNEY. Ralph Wins Hislop Cup.— Week-End Tournament Commenced. With a stiff westerly blowing, Titirangi presented a much more diflicult test to-day, when the annual Labour Day week-end tournament was held, than it did at the New Zealand championship meeting. The difficult conditions were reflected by the scoring, particularly this morning, when none of the competitors in the first half of the 3(i-hole qualifying competition broke SO. The best round of the morning was that of G. Coltman with an SO. This afternoon, after slicing his tee shot out of bounds, he made frequent mistakes, and took 03 for the second round. Four competitors did better than 80 in the afternoon, the best rounds of the dav being a 70 by W. S. Ralph and E. L. "Bartlett, a 77 by J. H. Young, and a 79 by E. L. Knight. Both Ralph and Young did an 82 in the morning, and Ralph's improvement in the afternoon gave him a win for the Hislop Cup, the best gross score over the 30 holes, with an aggregate of 158. E. L. Bartleet was next with an aggregate of 159, his rounds being S3 and 76. J. H. Young and If. Brinsdon shared the honours with him, both having rounds of S2 and 77 and aggregate of 159.
