Christmas is now only two months away, and the children are already anticipating the treats of the season of goodwill. One of the cash prizes offered in the "Star's" word-making competition would assist; in the provision of seasonal delights for the family, and there is still plenty of time to make a start in the contest. If you are not one of the many who have followed this competition from the beginning, start to-day with the twenty-fifth picture. Thirty-five pictures have yet to be published in the competition, and these will appear daily until the series is complete. Back numbers of the "Star" containing the earlier pictures, together with the official list of words from which the title to each picture must be selected, may be purchased from the Publisher, "Star" Office, Auckland. There is no entry fee, and all competitors have to do is to select from the official list of words the word most applicable to each picture published. The "Star" is offering £25 in prizes, as follows:—First prize, £10; second prize, £5; third prize, £3; fourth prize, £2; ten additional prizes each of ten shillings. Fit a word to the picture below.
