FEILDING WEEKLY SALE. LATE RATES MAINTAINED. EWES AND LAMBS UP TO 32/9. (By Telegraph.—Special tc " Star.") FEILDING, this day. Good business was done in all sections of the Feilding sale yesterday, except in the case of dairy stock, which slumped on account of unfavourable quality. In the store cattle market quotations for run cattle advanced slightly on those for the previous week's cattle fair. Fat Sheep.—A moderate j;arding, consisting chietly of ewes .find Hoggets. Late rates were fully maintained, with a firming tendency for extra .prime quality lines. Best prime hoggets made from 20/ to 24/; good, 18/ to 19/3; medium, 16/ to 17/6; light, 14/10 to 15/9; heavy prime shorn ewes, 16/6 to 17/3; woolly, 18/9 to 19/; prime shorn, 14/;' woolly, 17/; light to medium, shorn, 11/3 to 13/6; woolly ditto, 15/8; prime shorn wethers, 21/6. Store Sheep.—A light yarding, but of good quality, particularly young ewes, with 100 per cent lambs, which sold well. Ewes and lambs, best, 31/9 to 32/0; others, 26/7 to 26/10; good ewe hoggets, 18/3 to 19/9; best wether hoggets, 16/4 to 16/9; four-tooth wethers, 16/. Fat Cattle.—The usual yarding of mixed sorts, cows and ox, comprising some rpime heavy lines, which realised advanced rates. Prime heavy Shorthorn bullocks, £6 18/ to £7 10/; .prime Polled Angus bullocks, £6 6/ to £6 11/; heavy Holstein cow, £6 10/; prime Polled Angus cows, £5 1/ to £5 11/; medium ports, £3 16/ to £4 9/; prime heavy Polled Angus heifers, £6 9/; good, £5 9/; light, £4. Store Cattle.—Good run cattle were wanted at improved rates. Two-year Polled Angus steers, £3 to £3 14/; three-year ditto, £4 2/6 to £4 19/; good two-year-old Polled Anjjus heifers, £3 10/; yearling Jei-sey heifers, best, £2; others, £1 9/ to £1 14/. Dairy Cattle. —A fair yarding of mostly inferior heifers came forward, and met with a slow sale. Best close-to-profit Jersey heifers, £4 15/ to £5 5/; others, £2 12/0 to £4 5/; heifers, calved, best, £4; others, £2 5/6 to £3 10/. A heavy entry of young and aged bulls was offered to a good attendance of dairymen. Young pedigree bulls made the best values, older sorts not being wanted. Yearling pedigree Jerseys, 7gs to lOHgs; yearling grade Jersey, £2 5/ to £5 5/; two-year pedigree Jerseys, £7 15/; twoyear grades, £6.
