SHOTS AT DANCE.
Unknown Attackers Wound Five People. ARMED MEN HOLD UP VAN. (Received 1 p.m.) DUBLIN, October 17. A sensational attack was made on a dance hall at Ballingar, County Galway, while 100 members of the United Ireland party were dancing. Shots penetrated the windows and' five people were wounded. The attack lasted half an hour. The police searched the district for the attackers without result. Other disquieting incidents have occurred. Three armed men barricaded the road to Mallow with trees, stopping a van carrying the newspaper, the "Cork Examiner." They forced the driver to depart and burnt his newspapers and riddled his tyres and petrol tank with bullets. £1000 REWARD OFFERED. MURDER OF PUBLICAN. BELFAST, October 17. The Ulster Government has offered a reward of £1000 for information that will lead to the conviction of the murderer of the publican, Dan O'Doyle.
